This project, a full renovation of an apartment for a couple who entertain frequently, required a series of bold interventions. The choppy entrance corridor was streamlined into a foyer articulated through bronze-framed glass doors and panels to let in natural light from outside. Clear sightlines and focal points were introduced through floor inlay, panelling, and furniture placement. To amplify the spatial drama in the living room, we installed a figured marble book-matched on a dividing wall as the main focus of the space. To achieve a singularly unique residence, almost all the furniture, millwork and fixtures were custom designed and made by DeMuro Das.
